Beginners Program - Mini-Kicks  | Register |
The philosophy can be summed up in one word – FUN!  The Mini-Kicks Program is structured and designed specifically for the young player to have more touches on the ball – which increases enjoyment and participation.  We have created a safe and positive environment where kids can learn the game of football through playful training techniques and team bonding activities.

We also aim, for this age group, to develop the child’s agility, balance and co-ordination in a football environment and start to learn the basic rules of the game.

  • Session duration 90 minutes.
  • Saturday only program for boys and girls aged 4 to 6 years old.
  • Developmentally appropriate activities

Recreational Level – Player Development Register |
Our Recreational Level is aimed at improving the level of ability of boys and girls aged between 6 and 14 years old.

We recognized that young footballers develop at different speeds, therefore players in this program might be split by both age and ability levels. This is to ensure that their football experience is as relevant to their stage of development as possible.
Coaches will work with the players’ abilities and build on their basic football skills such as shooting, passing, dribbling and ball control. Players will understand the rules of the game and be encouraged to problem solve using a wide range of fun games and drills.

  • These sessions are twice a week and last for 120 minutes. (Saturdays & Thursdays)
  • The curriculum for the recreational program is based on the English FA Grassroots Model.

Academy Program – Player Advancement Register |
Our Academy program cater for footballers aged 8-17 years. This program is specifically designed for players that require more technical challenge and tactical game understanding.

In addition to advanced and challenging training sessions, this program incorporates other relevant areas of focus, including individual skills enhancement, functional position training and introduction to formations (4v4, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11).

This program is tailored for players who play or train on a regular basis and players that excel may be invited to either trial with, or join, the Elite Program.

  • These sessions are twice a week and last for 120 minutes. (Saturdays & Thursdays)
  • The curriculum for the Academy program is based on the Soccer Awareness Model and the Dutch (KNVB) youth player development approach.

Elite Program – Training To Compete (Invitation Only)
The Football IQ Academy Program is an invitation-only development center run by the Technical Director and qualified coaches.  It is primarily for talented or potentially talented players and strong Academy footballers between the ages of 12 and 17 with the opportunity to develop their technical and tactical skills and game knowledge, through an advanced level coaching program.

Our aim is not to remove players from Recreational or Academy Programs, but to add different options for furthering individual player development. We feel that as it is our responsibility to offer our services and expertise to assist in the growth of talented young players in our programs.

The Elite Program is invite-only and talented players will be identified by our coaches on a regular basis. Players would also be given the opportunity to:

  • Represent Trinidad & Tobago Rush Soccer Club (Tours & Tournaments)
  • Tryout for Rush Select Team (International)
  • To be recruited by US College coaches
  • To be scouted by National and Professional coaches

These sessions will be at least three times week and last for 2 hours each with additional small group personal coaching.

The curriculum for the Elite program is based on the Soccer Awareness Model, Dutch (KNVB) youth player development approach and FC Barcelona Youth Training Methodology.
